Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Truust (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Truust app or website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Truust.

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• The information you give us must be true and up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your phone number and verification codes secure.

Truust is a social marketplace. We provide the place where people list items, chat, pay through escrow and arrange delivery. When two users make a deal, that deal is between them.

Every Truust user can both buy and sell with the same account. We are not the seller of items listed by users, and riders are independent, not our employees.

• You may keep one account. Please do not create fake or duplicate accounts.
• You are responsible for everything that happens on your account.
• Tell us straight away if you think someone else has gained access to it.

When you list something, you promise that you own it or have the right to sell it, and that your photos and descriptions are honest and accurate.

You may not list or sell:

• anything illegal in Nigeria, or stolen or counterfeit goods;
• weapons, illegal drugs or other dangerous items;
• adult content or anything that exploits or harms others;
• anything else we reasonably decide is unsafe or breaks the law.

We may remove listings that break these rules.

When a buyer and seller agree a deal inside Truust:

• the buyer pays into escrow, and Truust holds the money, through our payment partners;
• the seller can see that the payment is secured before handing over the item;
• neither the buyer nor the seller can access the money while it is held;
• when the buyer confirms they received the item, the money is released to the seller’s Truust wallet;
• if there is a problem, either the buyer or the seller can raise a dispute and the money stays held until it is resolved.

Escrow protects both sides, but only for payments made inside Truust. If you pay or agree a deal outside the app, we cannot protect you and we cannot help recover the money or the item.

Buyers: only confirm delivery after you have received and checked the item. Once you confirm, the money is released. Sellers: only hand over or ship the item once you can see the payment is secured in escrow.

After a deal is agreed, nearby riders can bid to deliver it, and you choose the rider you prefer. Riders are independent and set their own prices. We help connect you, but we are not a delivery company and do not employ riders.

Share only the pickup and delivery details needed for the job, and follow any safety guidance in the app.

• Money released to you from escrow goes into your Truust wallet.
• You can withdraw your wallet balance to your bank account. We may need to verify your details first.
• Payments and payouts are handled with the help of third-party payment partners.
• Any fees are shown in the app before you confirm a transaction.

If a deal goes wrong, raise a dispute from that deal. Our team reviews the information available, which can include the chat history, photos and delivery records, and makes a fair decision. We then release the money to the seller, return it to the buyer, or split it as the situation requires.

Please give honest information. Our decision settles how the held money is handled on Truust. It does not take away any legal rights you have.

Please do not:

• scam, mislead or harass other users or riders;
• try to avoid escrow, for example by moving a deal to another app after you meet on Truust;
• use fake accounts, fake reviews or fake proof;
• interfere with or try to break the app or its security.

You own the content you post. You give us permission to store, display and share it as needed to run Truust, for example showing your listings to other users. You promise you have the right to post it.

We may suspend or close an account if someone breaks these terms, puts other users at risk, or if the law requires it. You can close your account at any time. See how to delete your account.

We work hard to keep Truust safe and running, but we provide it “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for the quality, safety or legality of items users sell, for what users or riders do, or for indirect losses such as lost profits.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Nigerian law that cannot be limited.

We may update these terms. If we make an important change, we will let you know in the app or another suitable way. If you keep using Truust after the change, it means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria can hear any dispute about them.
